Keith Patterson, Founder and CEO
An experienced technology marketer and entrepreneur, Keith leads the company's mission to develop a new generation of knowledge work tools that accommodate left-and right-brain work styles. He conceived and incubated Itensil in 2002 at AdScience, an advertising and web developer that Keith also founded. AdScience clients included Microsoft, Fujitsu, Countrywide and numerous "dot com" startup companies.
Keith previously co-founded tech advertising agency Patterson & Glen, wrote advertising copy for high tech marketing legend Regis McKenna and served as a product manager at Digital Equipment Corp. Keith has been developing creative technology applications since his student days at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he graduated with a BS in political science.
Grant Gongaware, Founder and CTO
Grant designed and built the groundbreaking Itensil extensible architecture, which has been acclaimed by industry leaders as "fundamental architectural differentiation from all the other players out there. It is profoundly different … way ahead of the curve."
Grant's numerous technology innovations include creating a high performance version Itensil’s process engine for Responsys’ millions of Emails per-hour requirements; a publishing solution for Microsoft that delivers fast, feature-rich updates within very rigid requirements; a solution for Paramount Pictures that hosts real-time chats with celebrities; and hundreds of interactive web sites that include online games, rich media, and dynamic personalization. Grant received his BS in computer science at University of Southern California and has instructed graduate comupter science classes at Univ. of California at Santa Barbara.
Mike Watson, Customer Solutions
Mike is a hands-on executive with broad experience in building motivated teams delivering strong client relationships. He has a unique ability to understand the operational, financial, sales and marketing aspects of a business and to assist clients identify highly effective solutions. Mike has been active with Itensil since 2008, initially working on the client side building and implementing a sales tracking and project management system for a startup business using Itensil, and building and populating working prototypes for demonstration of RFP/RFQ response capabilities incorporating pricing models using Excel spreadsheets and project management capabilities.
Mike has held positions in Marketing with BSA/Triumph Motor Cycle Division and Bass in the UK before moving into marketing with GTE Corporation in the US. He joined Price Waterhouse as a Senior Manager in their Management Consulting Services division where he was responsible for clients in the telecommunications industry and subsequently, software package implementation services. He joined Hyperion as a Director of Sales and later became Vice President of Consulting Services. He was also Vice President of Professional Services with Concur Technologies, iManage and Emptoris where he was responsible for software package implementation services, client training and technical support. He holds a BA in Business Studies (Honors) from Coventry University in the UK, and a MBA from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
Ray Hatfield, Government Solutions
Ray has over 25 years of work experience in Washington, D.C. providing technical direction, contracts management, and conflict resolution management support to various programs and projects on behalf several Fortune 500 companies and U.S. federal agencies. Ray has worked with organizations such as the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies, GTE, Inacom, Wachovia Bank, First Union Bank, the White House Military Organization, the White House Special Programs Office, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, FEMA, Department of Veteran Affairs, and Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Ray was educated at the University of Tennessee, and the University of South Alabama, in the fields of Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. He served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army.

Sam Garmon, outsourcing and consulting executive
Sam advises Itensil on sales and markeing strategy. Sam has more than10 years of hands on experience in the consulting and outsourcing industry, ranging from business development to operational delivery. Sam was directly responsible for generating, selling and shaping Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) offerings designed to transform workforce performance for Accenture’s existing and prospective clients in a variety of industries (Financial Service, Insurance, Telecommunications, Pharmaceuticals) and workforces (Banking, IT, Call Center, Field Force, Sales). Prior to Accenture, Sam was a Client Sales Executive with EDS in the application outsourcing practice.
Derek Miers, founder, BPMFocus
Derek Miers is a well known independent industry analyst and technology strategist, publishing a great many white papers and product assessments. As Co-Chairman of BPMI.org, he helped merge the organization with the OMG and completed the most comprehensive review of BPM environments (the BPM Suites Report is published through BP Trends). He co-authored the BPMN Modeling and Reference Guide, which is accepted as the bible for BPMN Modeling.

Kevin Surace, CEO, Serious Materials, Inc.
A noted speaker and writer on climate change and the built environment, Kevin on a mission to significantly reduce the use of fossil fuels and their effect on the environment. As CEO of Serious Materials, he leads the company in its mission to reduce energy usage and CO2 generation of the world’s largest contributor, our buildings. By developing new materials and processes that require little energy to manufacture, and advanced products which dramatically improve the insulation and comfort of homes and offices, a worst-case climate and energy catastrophe can be avoided.
Before joining Serious Materials in 2002, Kevin held executive and technical positions with Perfect Commerce, General Magic, Air Communications, National Semiconductor, and Seiko-Epson. He received his degree in electrical engineering technology from Rochester Institute of Technology where he currently serves on the Board of Trustees, and has been awarded multiple patents.
Robert Griffin, President/CEO, Knowledge Computing Corp.
As CEO of Knowledge Computing Corporation (KCC), Bob Griffin has build the company into a leading provider of technology-based crime-fighting solutions. KCC's COPLINK product supports over 3000 law enforcement agencies nationwide, helping law enforcement officers fight crime, thwart terrorism and improve community safety through comprehensive information sharing.
Previously, Bob co-founded eMotion Inc., a leader in digital media management technology and services that achieved the Deloitte and Touche Fast 50, Fast 500 for each of his years there. Bob was President and CEO and Cinebase Software, a subsidiary of Eastman Kodak, and one of the founding partners of Internet Business Advantages (IBA) Inc. At Digital Equipment Corporation, he was Vice President and CIO for a $2 billion division that focused on Digital's largest corporate clients.
Bob did his undergraduate studies in Business Management at Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire, completed the Advanced International Management Program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and is a graduate of the NASDAQ Mindshare Entrepreneur program. Bob was the 2001 winner of the Deloitte and Touche Entrepreneur of the Year for Greater Washington DC in the Software category.
